What an incredible turning point we are at in our history. Yesterday on election day, we secured a path towards righteousness and truth. But I will certainly acknowledge we have much more work to do. In my own state of NY, for example, the dangerous Proposition 1 was passed by more than 2-to-1. Many, I am sure just read the flowery language and thought it was harmless, but that snake will soon bite. My prayer since early this morning has been that this proposal would expose the darkness within the state of New York just as the Biden administration exposed the tip of the evil iceberg trying to overtake the United States.
For a few years now I have worked the elections as a poll worker. I want to share some of the spiritual insights God was highlighting yesterday as I was working and even afterwards while I was at home. My assignment yesterday was at a state college in my area. It didn’t take long before I could see and sense the darkness that has been given permission to roam on that campus. I get the sense that it’s the same spirit that is wreaking havoc at many campuses and grade-schools across the country.
The enemy has discovered that if he can corrupt our children and college students, he can impact our future destiny as a nation and as individuals. He is raising up many unrighteous administrators and educators who are ill-advising students that they can change their gender, that God is nothing to be feared, and that socialism is the best path for our country. Matthew 19:14 says:
14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
The enemy is forbidding the children to come to Jesus because he knows this is the quickest way to stifle the kingdom of heaven. I spent a lot of time yesterday praying for revival to break out on schools and colleges, for kids and young adults to find their God-given purposes and for righteous leaders to be raised up in these institutions.
When I was back in my homeschooling role the day after the election I felt a heavy amount of impatience with my children. It didn’t take long before God showed me that the same spirit that was hovering on that campus on Tuesday was trying to rob the next generation in my own home. My kids and I quickly prayed together, cursed that evil spirit in the name of Jesus and asked Him to fill us with the fruits of the spirit. The atmosphere instantly changed.
Final Thoughts…
We must rise up in our authority and realize the roles that God is calling us to in order to push back the darkness. It’s no longer acceptable to turn a blind eye or hope it goes away. We must armor up and battle on. We must, must, must keep praying and standing for our country and for our future generations. While we have taken one step in the right direction, there is still an enormous amount of work to do, and the church must lead the way. Please keep praying and looking for ways to stand. We are all here for such a time as this!
