Million Women, Part V

I have one more topic I want to bring from our gathering in D.C. For the whole 10 hours that we were there, there was no discussion around specific individuals or groups of individuals that are wreaking havoc in our nation. The leaders of this gathering recognized what it says in Ephesians 6:12:

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Our battle is not with humans, but the spirits that are working through the agreement of humans. One of the spirits that has been allowed to roam freely in our nation is Ishtar (also known as Ashtoreth in the Bible). Ishtar is the goddess of war and sexual love. Ishtar is the one responsible for all the gender confusion and sex trafficking that is attempting to destroy the younger generations in our nation. If the enemy can lure our children away, he can rob our nation’s future.

Jonathan Cahn (a Messianic Jew) brought forth a lot of the info on Ishtar and the prayers to separate our agreement with that spirit. He also had an Ishtar altar made that he and many others smashed with a sledgehammer at the end of the day to represent our breaking of agreement with the spirit. It was a very powerful prophetic act.

There is one point I want to bring forth that was not brought up in D.C. but has been brought up in our congregation. It feels like the right time to bring it up here. We believe that Easter actually originated from the spirit of Ishtar. For that reason, many of us do not acknowledge Easter. We only celebrate Resurrection Day which sometimes actually falls on a different day depending on where Passover falls on the Jewish calendar. It’s just another one of those holidays that started for righteous reasons but has become more of a pagan holiday.

Final Thoughts…

It’s important for us as Christians to make sure we know who we are battling in the days ahead. We do not wrestle with political leaders, business owners or misguided celebrities. We should be wrestling instead with the spirits that are pulling the strings of these puppets. We should not be allowing any root of bitterness or judgment to keep us from seeing God’s creation the way He sees it. He loves everyone but He has a perfect hatred for evil. Instead of pointing our fingers at various political leaders or segments of society, we need to be declaring the name and power of Jesus to break the strongholds that are leading so many astray. We need to pray for the grace of God to flood their lives just as it has ours.
